Join VPO (from a distance) for our second "secret" concert!
VPO Fans,
For our second concert, we will be heading North to the Rockford area! Soloists Emily Smith (soprano), Leslie Deppe (Flute), and Wesley Cords (Bassoon) will be joining the VPO String Orchestra.
PLEASE READ BEFORE RESERVING TICKETS:
Covid-19
We are following current Covid-19 guidelines, and kindly expect the same from our audience. Please wear a mask when entering and exiting the outdoor performance space. Once seated, you are fine to remove your mask. Please have one at the concert, and to use it when in conversation with other guests and musicians outside your party. Please remember live music performances are a rare privilege to attend, and that we are all responsible for limiting the spread of Covid-19 to ensure the health and safety of the community, an open economy, and future VPO concerts.
If you are sick, currently have Covid-19, or have come in close contact with someone that has Covid-19 in the past 2 weeks: Please do not attend this concert.
How to reserve a "Pod"
Tickets are limited to 60 total guests. Guests will be seated in designated "pod" areas, and are encouraged to bring folding chairs. Some picnic tables will be available at a first come first served basis. To observe Covid-19 guidelines and also maximize our audience, we ask that a minimum of 2 or a maximum of 6 tickets be reserved by each party. Each party will then occupy the same pod area once you arrive. These areas will not be assigned, and will have various degrees of sunlight and shade.
The location will be emailed at Noon the day of the concert. Only those who have reserved a ticket will be notified of the event location, and we ask that you keep it a secret to keep our gathering to 100 people or less. VPO will still play the event if there is light rain in the forecast, though there will be very limited covered seating available.
Donations
Tickets are free, however we are asking for a minimum donation of $15 per guest to be made at the event. Now more than ever, we need your support to continue providing classical musicians in the West Michigan area with paid performance opportunities. We accept cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, and for larger amounts you can make a tax deductible donation to our Fractured Atlas account. Mobile donations for all methods can be easily made from your seat by scanning QR codes from posters near the orchestra.
